Kalathos Sun Hotel is located in the heart of the village and the island, as it is 44.5 km away. from the city of Rhodes and 49.4 km. from the other end of the island, Prasonisi.

The village of Kalathos is surrounded by restaurants and cafes, an aesthetic and relaxation center, clinics and a pharmacy and just a few minutes’ walk away, there are many restaurants in the area that have Mediterranean cuisine.

Acropolis of Lindos

The coastal settlement of Lindos is located on the southeastern side of the island and at a distance of 6 km. from the village of Kalathos.
The ancient city was built on the site of today’s village, between the citadel and Cape Krana.
At the top of the beautiful village of Lindos with its picturesque alleys is the ancient citadel. The Acropolis of Lindos is built on a steep cliff 116 m high, dominating over the traditional settlement of Lindos.
As Lindos has been inhabited continuously over the centuries, this area has a rich history and has revealed archaeological findings from the archaic era and later, but also building activity that reaches the time of the Hippocrates (14th-16th century). This rich history, combined with the unique natural view of the place, make the citadel of Lindos one of the most popular archeological sites in Greece, as it ranks third in terms of traffic.

The most important attraction is the temple of Athena Lindia, which dates back to around 300 BC, as well as the propylaea and the Hellenistic gallery. You can also see areas of later times, such as the Byzantine church of St. John and the Knights Templar.

Haraki

The village of Haraki is located on the east coast of the island and at a distance of 8 km. away from the village of Kalathos. It is built in a beautiful bay and is one of the most developed tourist areas.

Nearby you will find the medieval fortress of Feraklos, which stands imposing in the picturesque landscape, while very close is the magnificent beach of Agia Agathi, with shallow and very warm waters during the summer months.

Gadouras Dam

The Gadoura dam is 11.9 km away. away from Kalathos and is a life’s work for the island of Rhodes.
It was recently inaugurated, providing a solution to the chronic water supply problem of Rhodes and the remote islands of the Dodecanese, and is one of the largest technical projects in island Greece and one of the largest dams in Greece.

An attraction worth visiting to admire this great work of the island, but also for a leisurely walk admiring the view.
With a height of 67 meters, a crown width of 10 meters and a length of 585 meters in its upper altitude, it is a vital emblematic project for the South Aegean, which ensures the provision of adequate and excellent quality drinking water to permanent residents and hundreds of thousands of visitors. which receives the island of Rhodes, especially during the summer months, while solving the important problems of the neighboring arid islands, such as Halki, Symi, Kastellorizo, etc.

Lindos Beach & Agios Pavlos

Below the beautiful settlement of Lindos are two beaches with quiet, crystal clear waters, protected by the picturesque bay. Swim in the organized beaches, admiring the white settlement and the castle, which dominates the hill. Very close to Lindos there are other beaches that are worth your interest.
